JILL'S FAVORITE PUMPKIN PIE
Jill found this recipe from Prepared Pantry and loved it so I'm putting it on the blog.
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 large eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp allspice
1 15-oz can pumpkin puree (about 2 cups)
1 12-oz can evaporated milk
1 9 inch deep-dish pie shell
Preheat oven to 400.
Mix the sugar, eggs, salt and spices together. Add the pumpkin and evaporated milk. Mix well.
Pour into the unbaked pie shell. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees. bake for another 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. The pie will be done when a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack.
